Mike Winder

Representative, State of Utah House of Representatives; and Executive Director, Friends of Traditional Banking

Mike Winder represents District 30 in the Utah House of Representatives, serving on the Higher Education Appropriations, Law Enforcement & Criminal Justice, Economic Development & Workforce Services, and Political Subdivisions Interim committees. He is also the executive director of Friends of Traditional Banking, co-host of KSL's podcast "Beg to Differ," and founder and CEO of economic development consulting firm Neptune Strategies.

Mike is the past vice president of Community Development for Zions Bank, director of Public Affairs for The Summit Group Communications, and vice president of Marketing for Winder Farms. He served as mayor and City Councilmember for Utah's second-largest city, West Valley City.

Mike holds an Honors BA in History and an MBA from the University of Utah, and a leadership certificate from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. He is the author of 12 published books and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He and his wife, Karyn, are the parents of four children.
